What is involved in a typical bathroom fit?

• Typically a new bathroom will take between 2 and 3 weeks from the initial rip-out to completion. The fit will be completed with as little disruption as possible and always in a clean and tidy manner, to minimise the stress and hassle to the client.

• I offer a comprehensive fitting service and will undertake the initial ripping out and removal of the old suite followed by the preliminary preparation work. This may include replacing floor boards, fitting under-floor heating, changing plumbing, carpentry, building out and strengthening walls and chasing in pipes. All this can take many days but it is this preparation work, most of it later hidden behind immaculately tiled walls, which is the important foundation for a beautifully finished bathroom.

• During this stage it may be necessary to involve other tradesmen such as registered electricians or builders. I am able to recommend a network of trusted and like-minded contractors that I have worked with for a number of years to ensure all aspects of a fit can be undertaken. Alternatively I can work with tradesmen already appointed by the client.

• Tiles can finish a room off to perfection but choosing the right ones can be a difficult, lengthy and expensive task. I can advise on different types of tiles, the materials they are made from and finish, size, format, and pattern styles to really enhance the appearance of the finished room. I take great pride in tiling and always ensure the finish is immaculate.

• Finally the fitting of the new suite or sanitary ware and furniture, towel rail radiators and accessories is done with great care and attention to detail.

I mainly specialise in fitting bathrooms but have also installed fitted bedroom furniture and a number of kitchens for clients and each fit is undertaken with the same attention to detail and professionalism.
